Something different.

Liz walked into Ollivanders, her robes billowing behind her. She was looking for a new wand. The last had been unfortunately smashed by a rampaging hippogriff on the last day of summer term (don't ask!). Liz had done her best with repairing it, but the old wand just wasn't what it used to be. With the next school year quickly approaching, and her four precious children expecting places, Liz finally decided to get herself a replacement. The bell on the door jangled loudly as she walked into the dusty shop.

"Hello?"

"Hello!" Beamed Ollivander - he was growing old, his skin displaying wrinkles from ages past - the kind that every new student or professor would now see when they entered through his doors. He knew it would soon be time to retire, but even at the age of somewhere in his 90's, he was still healthy enough to sell wands and measure arms. Magic had to be used for the transportation of such objects though.
"Good afternoon!" He smiled from behind the counter as he sat on a stool. "Liz Amberson is it? The new teacher? I've heard a little about you. Of course, word about any new teachers or professors at the fabled school of Hogwarts spreads quickly, just like when everyone shouted out about this shop being rebuilt! It still looks the same as ever!" Ollivander chuckled at his joke. "In any case, I assume it's a wand you've come for? They're all free around here. May I measure your writing arm?" He asked, lifting his own wand from the counter and flicking it, causing a measuring tape from nearby to hover toward Liz.

Liz was surprised. She was surprised Ollivander only knew her name from her teaching position and not from a memory of selling her her first wand, she was surprised at how healthy he looked despite his obvious age, she was surprised at how word of her position had spread so slowly, considering she had been holding it for the best part of five years already, and she was surprised that he needed to re-measure her arm despite this being the fourth wand he gave to her. She obediently held out her wand arm and let the tape measure it. She smiled lightly at the old man in front of her,

"You're looking well, Ollivander." She said, ever fond of the old wand maker.

Ollivander knew himself, he was joking about the teaching profession of Liz being a factor in how he remembered her. In fact, he actually remembered her from selling her her first wand, and was merely congratulating her on becoming a professor (in his own way).
"Arm lengths change with age. For some, anyway." Ollivander explained, measuring the arm. When Liz spoke out, he replied.
"Yes, though I fear I may not be in the business for much longer. It's nice to enjoy what I have left." He stated with a little frown, the silver hair from his face hanging over his eyes. He brushed them aside and returned the tape measure to its original location.
"Accio..." Ollivander muttered, flicking his wand to summon one suitable for Liz. Within three seconds, a wand box had flown onto the desk in front of him.
"How does that suit you? It's pretty much the same as your old one."

Liz smiled and picked out the wand, turning it over in her hand to get a feel of it. It was very much like her old one, and with a few flicks, she tested out some charms, starting with less complex ones and working up in complexity. It responded to her like a piece of her own arm, and she smiled delightedly at it.

"Thank you, Ollivander." She said with a smile, "And business-wise, you're going to have the terror of meeting my four later this year."

Ollivander watched with glee as the wand he had finely crafted for a purpose such as this was now being used for amazing charms magics.
"Your four? Oh, four new children, eh?" Ollivander chuckled light-heartedly. "They should be fine, as long as I can see them all at once!" He gleefully rubbed his hands together. "I shall see you later!"

"I'll bring them all along as soon as they receive their owls from Hogwarts." Liz promised, moving towards the door. "Take care of yourself until then!"

With those parting words and a new wand, Liz left the shop.
