Lunch in the garden

It was another boring day in boarding school, It was about lunch time so candy went to the garden for lunch.
"Eteleast it's quite here..."
She mumbled to herself. She heard footsteps coming from the right of her,
She turned to see her older brother Syl.

Sylvan who was lost in his own little world inside his head, was walking towards the gardens to find inner peace--grumbling from the recent bullying he has experienced from those Sport-Jockey Muggles, since he didn't do their assignment. He wanted Solitude--as usual. However when he had snapped back to reality he found a small blonde head, turning to him.

It was his sister, Candy.

Sylvan was rooted to the spot, How did she know about his secret place? wait is it even a secret place? It's a garden for crying out loud. everybody goes there. With a mental sigh, he managed to pull a very deceitful smile coupled with a greeting.

"Why Hello Candy, Don't want to eat inside?"

Candy looked at him with a smile.
"This is the only quite spot in the school, I like it here I can cry laugh and scream."
She said standing up and walking towards him. When she was next to him she gave him a big hug.
"I haven't seen you around, Are you a-avoiding me?"
She asked stuttering.

Basing from his his sister's answer, Looks like Sylvan needed to find another new place of Solitude and Meditation, and fast. But where else could he go? the Football field? the Cathedral. Well that could work for him. However while he was yet again busy with his thoughts unable to notice candy stand up and walk towards him, It was too late when he had felt her give him a big hug. Sylvan's lips parted a bit a small grunt of surprise escaping his lips.

His sister talked, stuttering surely he could not break her heart, or else it would be hell to pay to him and his siblings. Another faint assuring smile crept upon his lips.

"No, I'm not avoiding you, just so happens i like going around our school in a tour, that's all."

Candy sighed, then looked at him.
"Don't lie to me. I know you are"
She said feeling his heart. She felt it faster then usual.
A tear came from her face as she said.
"Your lieing..."

Sylvan thought he was out of the heat--but the situation turned to the from the frying pan and into the fire kind of situation. She told him, he was lying. He was partially, but it was a white-lie. He just doesn't want Candy to see him being bullied and then tell mom or Isaac. However, Candy for some unknown reasons felt--saw rather through his lie.

He held on Candy's shoulder and looked at her in the eye as she started to cry.

"I'm not lying, I'm not avoiding you really...my heart beat faster cause you know me...it always does, for some apparent reason, I'm always nervous...stop crying now Candy.."

Candy smiled,
"You know I don't talk to anyone but you!"
She said stepping back. She picked up her sandwich and handed it to him.
"would you like some?"

Sylvan knew that his sister only talked to him, and that didn't make it any easier. Sylvan as most people knew was detached to most people including his family and valued solitude next to power. Being reminded of this fact that concerned his sister, didn't make things easier at all. However things were now for the better now that she's stopped crying.

Resting his hand over his waist, Sylvan watched his sister Candy take her sandwich and offer him part of him. He put his free hand up with a smile and politely declined.

"Thanks, I had lunch already...you should eat that, you're gonna need it, if you want to grow big and strong like Sister Angelina..."

Candy smiled, then heard the bell and frowned.
"I better go..."
She said turning around after hugging him.
"Promise you'll see me soon!"
She shouted with a tear.
"Promise..."

Amidst their conversation, the school bell had rung and echoed around the entire school, Knowing it was cue that what little of their lunchbreak had was over. Sylvan looked to Candy as she said good-bye with a tear in her eye.

"I promise...I'll see you again, now go along or you'll be late for class"

Tucking both his hands inside his pants pockets, he turned around and walked the opposite direction, heading back to his personal hell with the muggles.
