Wand Shopping

It was a strange morning for Ryder. He was just told by his parents that he was accepted to Hogwarts. One of the best wizarding schools in the world. The strange part was, he never sent an a request. His parents took him to the shop where he would get the materials he needed for his first day. He looked into a window and saw a dragon in a fish tank and another dragon in a cage. He had always had a thing for dragons ever since he came to this world. He asked his parents if he could have both of them. They looked at each other, and after talking it over they agreed on giving him both of them. They went into the store and bought both of them, knowing that if he would go in he would want another. They then told him to go ta buy a wand. He needed that wand for his classes. He walked into the store holding his new baby Dragon in his cage. He was asleep. He put the cage down and walked over to the desk and rang the bell.

"Those are some fire breathers you have there. How much did they cost?" Ollicabder asked, his wrinkles clearly present upon his ageing face. There was no need to ring the bell, for Ollivander was already behind the counter. He was sitting on a stool, a wand in his left hand which he flicked upward to summon up some measuring tape from nearby on the counter.
"Please hold your writing arm out so that I can measure it." He creaked, his age clearly showing yet his passion for wands never fading.

He looked at the old man. Well, they cost 40 Sickles each. He then heard the old man ask him if he could put out his hand so that he would be able to measure it for the wand. He knew that he needed it so he cooperated to not get distracted and buy something else. He didn't know anything about wands though. All he knew was that all wizards and witches needed them in order to cast spells. He looked over to his dragon and began wondering what he should call him. He looked back at the old man waiting for him to do whatever he needed to do.

Ryder's arm measured, Ollivander dived into the back of the store to pick out a new wooden box that had been covered in dust due to age.
"Can you guess what wood and core is in this wand?" Ollivander asked as he placed it on the table where it landed with a little thump. He took his time to sit back down on his stool behind the counter.

He began to think of all the woods in the world. But mostly what wands were made of. It was difficult seeing as how he didn't know much. But he came to a conclusion. It might be a Blackthorn. And seeing as how he was a Dragon lover he wanted the core to be Dragon Heartstring. He then spoke to the old man. Could it be made from Blackthorn wood and has a care of Dragon's Heartstring?

"That's a very good guess!" Ollivander applauded Ryder, opening the wand box to reveal an elaborately carved wand of Blackthorn wood with a core of Dragon Heartstring.
"Give it a try!" He instructed the boy. "Pick it up and give it a flick."
Ollivander the scooted away to avoid any mishaps.

He looked down at the box and grabbed the wand. He picked it up, he felt it just perfect. It wasn't too heavy and it wasn't too light. It was perfectly balanced. He then looked over at a target on the wall. It seemed it was for people who wanted to try the wand. He flicked the wand a little towards the target. A beam came out of the wand an hit the target. It wasn't a direct hit but it still hit it. He looked at the old man. I like it. How much is it sir?

"Hm. Interesting way to try out the wand." Ollivander muttered, re-emerging from the shadows. "Normally when you flick it, wind envelops you, and... It's free."
Ollivander then took the Wand Box, putting it back into the depths of the store.

He looked at the man. Kind sir, do you think I can have the box as well? I think I might need it for putting the wand away just in case.

"Oh! Okay." Ollivander hobbled back with the box, placing it onto the dusty desk once more.

Ryder picked up the box and held it beside him. He then looked back at the old man. Do you know where to find coats for Hogwarts?

"Don't you mean capes? If so, there's Madam Malkin's. It's under a bit of refurbishment at the moment, so please go back there a little bit later." Ollivander stated, pointing to the door behind Ryder.

Thank you for all you help. He turned around and headed towards the door after picking up the Dragon in the cage. I got it! I'll call you Rei. He looked at his parents carrying all the cases outside of the wand shop. Got it mom. He looked at the Dragon in the tank, this dragon was a water Dragon of some sort. He looked at there parents. They were carrying a book of dragons. It listed all the dragons. He bean to read and started to follow his parents to the next store.
