Wand of Wonder.

Walking into the shop and looking around for it's Owner, Athalia sighed gently as her Aunt walked in behind her with her robes. " Aunt Mai....When can I go to the school.." The dark eyed women looked at her Niece and smiled at her with a light chuckle. " Soon Athalia..Very soon..." Athalis put a hand on her hip and scratched her head, she wondered why none of her family gave her direct answers and then shook the thought off. Looking at the time Athalia sighed wondering what her wand would be like. Pretending to have one she flicked her wrist gracefully and giggled. " I can't wait to get to school..This is gonna be more fun than going to see the Grands.." She spoke quietly because if her aunt would of heard that comment she would surely be popped in the mouth.

Ollivander, with his shock of silvery-grey hair, appeared from the dark and musty back of the store holding a gleaming white box. He stepped forward, brushing some dust off the counter and placing the box upon it.
"What will it be today? A wand, I presume, for everyone coming back in September?" He asked nicely, bringing out a tape measure from his pocket. "If it is that, then I will need to measure your writing arm."

Athalia watched as the old wand man came out from the back of the store. She eyed the white box and then did as the old man said. Sighing to herself she stuck out her left arm, she was the only one her Japanese side of the family to write with her life, but her then again she got it from her Irish side of the family. Looking at the man she tilted her head just slightly, excited to get the ball rolling. Her Aunt stood by a sweet smile on her face waiting for her Niece to be done so that they can continue.

"All right..." The man quickly measured her arm. The he put the tape measure away and opened the white box that was in front of him, the lid facing the girl so she could not see inside it. He brought out a small, brown wand.
"The wand chooses the wizard." Ollivander spoke cryptically, handing the wand gently to Athalia, handle facing her. "You will know if it is right for you or not."

Picking up the wand from the box with much confidence, Athalia smiled as her hand began to feel a slight tingle. Glittery, colorful lights began to erupt to from the wand softly, and then settled down after a moment. Looking at the man as if to say " this is the one.." Her eyes smiling and her aunt nodding in approval.

"Good!" Ollivander clapped his hands in triumph, closing the box and placing it under the counter. "And you don't need to worry about the costs either, wands are free at the beginning of term."
He then thought for a second.
"Oh yes, that wand is thirteen and a half inches long, quite long, but suits you. It's made from Cherry Wood and inside it is a nice lock of Thestral hair as the core. I hope you enjoy it and it helps you out well in times of need!"
Ollivander then pointed to the door, at the shop opposite.
"You may want to do some shopping for other supplies you need!"

Athalia smiled and thanked the man taking her box from him and walking out of the store. " Where to now Aunt Mai " Looking at her aunt she felt her stomach grumble. " Lets get some lunch first darling and then we are off to the book store. " Ok.." Holding her the box with her wand inside she walked next to her aunt the next destination.
