A wand of what now?

Markus hadn’t believed that any of this wizard stuff had actually existed. And yet he had now seen this place he was now sure that he had found a world that didn’t really exist on the surface. He rolled his chair threw the streets of diagon ally used to the odd looks he got from passerby’s. The letter informed him of the books he would need. And had given his parents the potion they had needed in order to actually see.

To him the world must have been just as strange as the fact that he needed wheels to get around. He had learned a long time ago not stair and to ignore the stairs of others. So for the moment he was fine with what was going threw. the first item he would need was a wand according to that letter. He rolled himself into the small shop Olivanders wands. And sighed this world wasn’t exactly wheel chair accessible stairs were like his mortal enemy by this point.

Five years ago almost to the day Markus had been playing in a park when he had foolishly chased a ball into incoming traffic, the driver hadn’t even stopped to notice the child he had hit. Markus didn’t blame him a part of him told him that he would have done the same. The surgery had saved his life but not his legs. He was paralyzed from the waist down. he looked around at the shop it was a lot larger then he had thought it had been. Kind of ugly too… it was too old looking something he figured he would have to get used too. “Hello anyone around?”

"Oh! Good afternoon!" Came a voice from the darkened back of the store, shelves of wands all over the place, aligned in rows. They seemed to stretch on for infinity to the back.
Ollivander emerged, stepping slowly, backwards down a ladder, holding a wand box and using his other hand to support himself. Once on the ground, he strode over to the boy but since he was in a wheelchair, had to lean over the counter slightly to properly see him.
"Oh, had a bit of an accident did we?" Ollivander asked, leaning on the dusty, wooden counter. He placed the cardboard box to the side and folded his arms.
"Well then, can I interest you in a wand?" Ollivander asked, tilting his head slightly and looking at the boy through his tatty hair.

Isaac walked down Diagon Alley, completely stunned by what he saw, it seemed that this place wasn't on Earth, he absorbed his surroundings, his green eyes inspecting them, his parents were great magicians but they never told him that this place existed, a random person told him he should first find a wand, he wondered where to find one until he came across Olivander's Wand Shop, then he wondered no more.

He turned towards it to his surprise to see a disabled child on a wheelchair, he walked up to him, "Need a hand?" he asked, before looking at Olivander.
"Uh, yeah, I was wondering if I could get a wand..." He spoke to him.

"Oh, you too?" Ollivander looked up from the disabled kid to the new entree. "All right then, please let me just take some measurements..." He stole into the back of his store again, took out a cardboard box and a tape measure and walked around his dusty, wooden counter. He placed the box on the counter where it landed with a small thud. He then picked up the tape measure, asking for both people to hold their writing arms out for measuring their length.

Markus ignored the question about his clear disability and when the other kid came in with his offer to help he smiled. "No thanks, I can handle it just fine." He appreciated the offer but in all reality disliked that everyone always thought he needed help. he was not useless just because his legs didn't work.

He held out his writing arm wondering what would happen. this was all so weird to him. the idea of a wand the idea of magic. for a child with muggle parents this was vary overwhelming. then again he must broad cast the fact that he was muggle born simply by the fact that he had the chair. not that he really knew what that meant.

Isaac immediately held out his right hand obediently, waiting for the man to measure it, Isaac looked at the shop through the door, it looks huge, and full of thin boxes containing wands, this was quite an emotional moment for him, he was becoming a member of a school of wizardry, Isaac had heard of Hogwarts before, just he always thought it was a sort of fairy tale, turns out it actually exists.
"Is it possible to get a wand that's completely smooth?" He asked, because he liked things to be precise at times, and he just thought it'd look cooler.

"Yes, wands could look lile anything or be however you want them to be..." Ollivander muttered as he measured both kid's arms and popped back around the counter into the dark depths of the store.
He came back eventually with four cardboard boxes and placed all four on the counter. He then notice that the one he had left on the end of the counter was still there and so moved it so it was upon the other he ha placed before the children arrived. He now had 6 cardboard boxes on his counter.
"The wand chooses the wizard." He reminded them, opening two cardboard boxes with a flourish and handing a wand to each child. "Give it a flick!"

the wand in his hand was elegant slightly wider and almost looked like ivory though he doubted it. he lifted the and was for a moment illuminated. at its core the wand was dragon heartstring but he of course he had no idea. all he could tell was that this one had just chosen him... at least thats what it felt like.

Markus blinked "right what does that mean?" he looked around confused not entirely sure what was going on. "sorry im... incredibly new to all of... this."

Isaac saw a wand that looked interesting, he picked up the box, reading the emblem Lockheed Stevens, he knew this brand of wand to be one of the finest, as his father had one, he looked lower down to see the model of wand, Mark VI, he opened the box gently as if it contained a nuclear bomb, He reached in and grabbed the gray and black handle of the wand, lifting it up, so far he noticed nothing happened, he did as Ollivander told him and flicked the wand, as the end of it glowed blue, he looked at himself, he didn't explode, burst into flames or thrown away, he looked at the wand, it seemed it had chosen him.
At least that's what he thought.
"Do you know what this wand is made out of?" He asked Ollivander, just out of interest.

"No, that's good." Ollivander smiled with Glee. "It means the wand has as we say, chosen the wizard." He put the lid back upon the cardboard boxes and gestured to the boys.
"You may go, you have your wand. In case you were wondering, it's free too!"
Upon hearing one's question about what the wand was made from though, he paused.
"Ebony. One of the finest looking woods!"

"Ebony...And I'm guessing the core is in phoenix heartstring..." He spoke, putting the wand in his pocket gently. "It looks beautiful by the way, thank you..." He spoke before waving and walking out the door, he had finally gotten a wand, and that was a big step towards his future life at Hogwarts, walking down the street some more for sightseeing, he enjoyed his surroundings, now all he had to do was wait for the train to Hogwarts, yet he had no idea where that was.

markus took his wand looking at it he guessed that his was ebony as ivory would be kind of wierd but hell if he actually knew what any of this meant. he turned and began to roll his chair away from the shop he still had some books to get but he stopped. "What is mine made with?" he had heard the other boys comment and quite frankly had no idea that his wand was actually a core of dragon heart string. he looked down at it... "this is all too weird."

"No problem." Ollivander assured the kids. "Collect up any more sypplies you may want around Diagon Alley then go to the Station. Platform 9 3/4." Ollivander Cryptically spoke as he collected up the wand boxes and vanished into the back of the store...
